Needing some decent photos for the new Brilliant Noise team, our creative pals at Endless put us in touch with Brighton photographer Kevin Meredith, a.k.a. Lomokev.
Kevin often shoots with old Russian film cameras – called things like Lomo and Holga – which give some amazing effects. The ones Kevin used for our shoot only have three focus settings, though, so before each shot he had to measure the exact distance from the camera to the subject. Like this…

For the style of the shots, Kevin suggested an approach he’d used for a self-portrait, namely taking shots of us against various brightly coloured backgrounds in and around the North Laine in Brighton.
They also look great when you put them together in a montage…
Lastly, here’s a happy accident from the developing of the shots. As Kev said, it will be handy if Jason and I ever want to put out an electro album.
