Cool Content coming up

After last week’s fun at brightonSEO (more on that later) Brilliant Noise is sponsoring a second Brighton Digital Festival event this week: Cool Content.

It takes place this Friday afternoon (21 September) and the line up of (very) Cool Content speakers includes:

  • Paul Annett on implementing GOV.UK‘s design principles. We’ve cited these principles in Brilliant Noise workshops and presentations, so every interested to hear more about this…
  • Simon Davis on how his team at the Department for International Development used content in the aftermath of the Haiti crisis. Again, we’ve looked at way social networks like Ushahidi were used in this crisis, so it will be fascinating to hear another perspective.
  • Anthony Palmer of the Olympic Delivery Authority on the film and image work he oversaw for London 2012. We are definitely ready to hear his story…
  • Sarah Ellis of the RSC will talk about the myShakespeare project. Bound to be fascinating…
  • Lauren Hogan of Cornwall’s digital marketing team will be telling us about how they personalise content. Visit Cornwall‘s a site I’ve been a user of on a family holiday this year – it’s excellent. Destination tourism’s a sector which seems to produce some really amazing case studies and best practice.
  • Lastly, Matt Simpson of Zone will be talking about content and his personal passion for football. Matt’s a brilliant editorial director – but I’ve never heard him speak. Should be really good to…

Seriously: What a line up!

There’s not going to be any lull in the schedule – high quality from start to finish. I’ll be taking notes furiously and will post up some notes afterwards.

It’s also nice to be co-sponsors with content maestros Zone and Neo – both agencies we’ve worked with before and respect greatly – as well as being mates with a good few of their staff.

There’s a two-for-one deal on tickets for the event, which means it is a bargain £25 each for you and a colleague to hear some of the best thinking about content around.

Take a look at Cool Content‘s website and get your tickets at its Eventbrite page.
